Navigating MP3 Folders in Business Radio

My '06si has the business radio with mp3 capability.

Currently, I can only navigate track to track.

However, I actually have many folders in my CD and I want to skip folder to folder.

How can I do this?

And, does the radio read the ID3 tags? If so, how can I burn in iTunes to ensure the track information shows?
 
Not sure I am going to be a lot of help here.
I wanted to do the same thing, but was told that it could not be done. :(
I therefore ended up with a Parrot system fitted and use an old i-pod to control the playlists, or a memory stick to just play tune after tune with no control...
 
yep you can, i just cant remember the button. it's not the most obvious but it works.

you can turn on id3 too, by pressing INFO and selecting one of the options below that, again i forget which one.

I'm talking about the Plain Jane Business Radio single CD w/mp3
 
as yet i have not managed to display ID tags, i'm considering an after market solution just for this reason, i too have no sat nav
 
ah, sorry i assumed.. and that might be the sticking point.

have you tried holding down the track button ? seems a shame that the functionality isn't there without the screen.

Without Nav I think I'd go with just Aux-In, although it's nice using my Ipod/Intravee through the steering wheel, especially on Shuffle.
 
Ah, that's a bit of a bugger. Still better than having a non-MP3 playing headunit though.
 
so what after market player is best, i like lots of colourful buttons hehe, but it must be compatible with MSWF
 
from memory (may be corrupt!), to skip folders you just press the 'M' button before pressing the appropriate left/right track skip arrow buttons.

You are indeed correct - pressing the "M" button on the headunit, then using the left/right ski track buttons lets you skip through folders on MP3 discs :)
