nav problem

hi guys, i recently changed my battery as the old unit had died. however since changing the battery, my nav now says "error reading nav dvd" and as such, does not work at all :headbang:

is there some simple fix to this or do i need a trip to the stealers?

any help will be much appreciated.....
 
Also maybe worth disconnecting the battery again for 15 minutes or so.

Can you confirm the battery is of the same power output as the old otherwise this can cause problems.
 
Yeah I tried the old eject and reinsert, to no avail!!!
And yes again, the battery is exactly the same Bosch jobbie!!!

What would disconnecting for another 15 mins do? I'm willing to try....

Hmm, there is your problem though ... OEM does NOT have camera alerts and illegal copies are known to cause issues ...

Have they changed this on the E89.. its just the sat nav is expensive and rubbish and it would be a useful feature, makes a nice screen thou
