National no.8. Friday 30thJUNE/SATURDAY & SUNDAY,1st,2nd JULY

Just like to echo the thanks for a great weekend

The memory of following an Alpina and two M Roadsters at full chat with a howling snarling popping and growling wild cat behind me will be lasting

Really nice to meet some lovely people and see and hear some great cars

Andy

Arrived home at 13.10 today managing the 250 mile trip in a record for me 3h 55 mins without a break. :D
Big thanks again to Craig and John for all the hard work they put in, making it a fantastic weekend for the attendees yet again..
Grand work with the raffle prizes again Craig. Was a charity decided upon?
Great to meet old friends and new and can't wait until 2018.
Didn't take many photos but tons of video which I'll post up in dribs and drabs.
Cheer all.

Had a great weekend, and thanks to all those who came along.
Glad you all enjoyed it

Thanks to John (sammyz) for helping me organise the meet as always mate, and sorting out the final routes.
We already have had a chat about next year, which will include bits we never had time to do on the Saturday, but will not do the Buttermere pass(not to be confused with teh Buttertubs on Sunday),etc given how busy it was this time.

The Friday night meal was as tasty as ever, and the Hotel was very busy, and was good to catch up with people.

The Saturday drive was indeed very scenic as always, but the Buttermere and Honnister passes in the afternoon were the busiest either me or John had seen them, and were a bit of a pita with the amount of traffic we met.....otherwise an enjoyable day. Lunch up at the visitors centre was tasty, and enjoyed in lovely warm sunshine :D

The Raffle went well, and hope those who won prizes make good use of them all(will post in due course winners).
We will also vote to see where we want the Money raised to go

The BBQ went well, and Thanks to Andy O for volunteering to get them started while we went for food, and thanks to Jim,Rich and Julie for coming for the Annual BBQ shop with me,haha.
Thanks to Gareth, Peter, Andy and Phil for helping me cook everything, and making sure everyone got fed, much appreciated it guys.
Meant I had a bit more time to chat to other people and spend a bit less time cooking/and to relax a bit :)
Thanks again, guys for sharing the smokey eyes that inevitably results from it,lol.
Thanks also to those who helped prepare rolls, etc.

The Sunday drive was indeed as epic as ever, and never fails to disappoint, regardless what roads we do,or add into the mix. :driving:
Too many highlights to mention, but the morning section was very good, warming s up for the afternoon which was even better.
Had a great blast with Dave,Laine and a biker, which was alot of fun :D
The weather stayed dry and was pretty good all weekend too.

Thanks again to all who attended, was great to see everyone, regulars and new faces alike
Look forward to seeing you all again next year, and some of you sooner. :driving:
Cheers

Evening all. Big thanks to everyone for making our 1st Zed outing an epic day and making James and I welcome. Craig, John, count us in for next year, we'll make a weekend of it. James still hasn't got over going airborne.

I'll keep a lookout for a possible North Wales jolly in September.

Cheers everyone :driving:

Had a good weekend, even without my car. Alpina broke down due to no charge from the alternator. Still managed to get to the drive on Saturday thanks to Bladeowner, thanks Dave.
Here are a few picks from the passengers seat.

Excellent weekend and as always thanks to Craig and John for their respective parts in making it work so well
Was a real good chance to stretch the legs of the F Type for the first time. Far too addictive an exhaust and engine orchestra when pushing on a little :)

Good to see you again Phil, car was looking nice, and as me and John were saying to you,the right mods have made a nice addition to it.
Would still have the AWD Coupe v6s though ,lol :poke:
(Driving round Scotland and Wales in one made my mind up which model I would have if I had a spare 45k for a decent one 2nd hand.)

Thanks to Craig, John for organizing and to all who attended Saturday evening. Hope you enjoyed the Sunday run.

Hope you get your wheel fixed okay, Paul.
That was a nasty pothole, though surprised it did as much damage.

Hi Craig,
Thanks to you and John for good weekend. Enjoyed myself, even without my car.
Just a heads up on the camp site. Talked to the manager on Sunday and he told me the Triumph group were asking about camping on the same weekend next year. I know Lune Valley dog show is on the same weekend next year as well. He said to contact him asap to get your provisional booking in.
Cheers

Why didn't you come along and join us,Dave?

Had a late night on the Friday at Tom Jones then when we passed you there was nowhere to turn around otherwise i would of. Car is running sweet now so will deffo be joining you guys on the next outing. We went over Kirkstone Pass which was mega busy and wrong call. Glad the weather held up for you all. The Lakes on a sunny day makes perfect for cruising with the roof down. Will keep an eye out for a next run out.
