Just getting this out so people can put it in their diaries well in advance, as I used to do.....
So further information to follow in the months ahead etc,but basically the weekend is now in its 16th Year,yikes .....and goes a little something like this....

Friday night Evening meal,in the Crooklands Hotel, in the Lake District ( Our Accommodation),
with a Saturday drive Round the Lake District area(or somewhere similar ).:thumbsup::) The Saturday drive is usually more of a SCENIC one,especially if doing the Lakes itself.,with some good Driving Roads added in too.

Saturday night is Either a BBQ OR Takeaway night at the Campsite (Choices of Indian or Chinese)....a few drinks if you want,round the Campfire and in the Onsite Bar,at the Waters Edge Caravan park, right next door to the Crooklands Hotel.

Sunday Drives are in the Yorkshire Dales area,taking in many of the wonderful roads this area has to offer....and is more of a Drivers focussed day.....although you don't have to go fast to have fun(go at your own pace,and enjoy the day.....we usually have 2 groups if required).

So that's it for now folks.
More Details to follow,once I have Hotel costs for 2026,but If you want an idea of costs, pm me,based on this year's prices,as it doesn't vary much.

UPDATE,APRIL/MAY 2026.
ALL 14 (Inc.additional rooms added) in HOTEL ARE TAKEN/FULL.

Still potentially 1 or 2 tents can be fitted in,at the Campsite,if needed.

Hotel bookings are through myself initially, and nearer the time/early 2026,I will let you know when to contact the Hotel to give them Credit card details.
I have 10 Rooms reserved,6 Standard, 4 Deluxe.

Camping is at the adjacent Waters Edge Caravan park, and is circa £15 per Tent per Night.
Again, pm me for Tent space reservations,and I'll add you to the list. Deposit of £10 is taken January 2026,paid to me via PayPal or Transfer.

Yes, back to the way it used to be/the way I did for years until other things got in the way,the past couple of years.
Means folk can get it sorted in their planning better mate

Hi Craig, please add me and Lucia for 3 nts Fr/Sa/Su at the hotel (Std room) with evening meals on Fr/Su. Happy with Barbecue or takeaway on the Sat night. Cheers Steve (nooms)

A wee reminder for this one folks...
And an UPDATE Re HOTEL BOOKINGS

So,for those of you who stayed in the Hotel this year,you may remember the Owners have now entered into a "business partnership" with Best Western group.
Meaning deposits etc have changed.
This year we paid a Deposit (10%) around 3-6 months before, with Final balance paid 30 days before. And not refundable after Deposits taken.

Now,for our 2026 booking(+going forward), BOOKINGS ARE AS SUCH....
75% DEPOSIT TAKEN 30 DAYS BEFORE, WITH THE BALANCE TAKEN 15 DAYS BEFORE.
The added benefits are you can cancel upto 30 days before/but before Deposits are taken, without Penalty.
Hopefully this doesn't lead to lots of cancellations 30/31 days prior,lol.
Also,Best Western do Loyalty points iirc,so you can use them at Crooklands now, from what they said on this years visit.

All you need to do is contact the Hotel and give them your details, credit card, name,room type, contact info etc prior to this.
Once I've sent them the list,i will let u folks know when to send them your info Thanks

P.S....There is currently 12 Rooms booked,with 8 being Standard,and 4 Deluxe.
So I will sort out who's wanting Standard/Deluxe,but there's 4 Deluxe rooms based on previous requests and availability etc.
Currently,as info above, there is 11 out of the 12 rooms Filled.
Originally I had booked 10 rooms,and just added two more (Standard) Rooms.
SO ONLY 1 ROOM LEFT IN THE HOTEL AND 2-3 TENT SPACES (of 8-10 available).

Also put this on the group chat 😁👍
