National meet No.11,AUGUST 7/8/9TH,,2020...FRI/SAT/SUNDAY. ,2020. NEW DATES

Almost forgot these. We stopped at "The Ropemakers" in Hawes over the weekend where I took my favourite pic of my old E89 a few years ago.
Had a chance to grab a quick pic of the F-Type at the same location.

Another good weekend. Thanks Craig and John. Great to see everyone again. Less than 11 months until the next one. :)

Was great to catch up with you all, and to meet a few new faces too.
Thanks for everyone who came, and to John for running this meet with me, as always.

Had a great weekend,
Weather was excellent
Company was excellent
Roads were very enjoyable, and thankfully not much traffic on them mostly, and often we had very traffic free roads :D :driving:

As said, this proves we can do post lockdown meets,in a sensible fashion, and still have a superb time.
Had a great time, Thanks again everyone

Roll on next year :driving:

Just got back home to North London.......took 7.5 hrs instead of the normal 5, thanks to M6 roadworks and accident and then accident on the final stretch of the M25. :headbang:

Had a fantastic weekend as always thanks to Craig and Johns organising proving that post lockdown meets can be done safely.
Great meeting up with everyone again and meeting some new members. I'm sure it's given the wellbeing of everyone who attended a lift during these strange times.
Thanks again Craig/John for allowing me to tag along at the rear in the Jag although I did stray into the middle of the pack acouple of times.
Didn't take many pics this year but here's a few.
Can't wait til' next year. Cheers everyone. :driving:

Shane about the traffic...I had same on M6 North, held up for 30 minutes or so,due to roadworks/lane closures, but got home okay after.

Was great to see you as always, and we'll said re the
meet
Some nice pics if your Jag, looking good mate

I saw there was over an hours delay at jcts 15,16. I left the M6 and went towards Congleton and then to Buxton via The Peak District which was quite pleasant. Ended up coming down the M1 instead but it took me about 2hrs longer than it should.

Definitely Ropemakers.....the train is on the left as we pull in just by the toilets.

Much fun had, cheers for organising and great to meet everyone. The Sunday morning was especially epic, great run up to Alston.

Looks like another fabulous run.

That F type looks awesome Jimbo!!

Apologies for not making it will definitely come along next year, car has some issues I want to iron out before I take it on a run like the national because if keeping up with John and Craig is anything to go by it needs to be in top condition

Thought I'd posted on my return on Sunday, but I've been having issues with the site so maybe it didn't post (or maybe I was affected by the sun more than I thought) :P

-----------

Thanks to John (sammyz) & Craig (craig3.2) for another great weekend blast - not forgetting the social part of it too.

Some great roads & scenery as always...even if some of the roads could do with a bit of work...and maybe bigger warnings where you're likely to launch the car or ground it on the return to earth.

The 330D played nice for the first day and didn't cover any roadster driver in a coat of best chimney sweepings, but I decided to let it rest on Sunday as it was losing coolant somewhere (not a lot, and not overheating, but didn't want it to cause a scene having to stop in the middle of the moors). The good news is my Z4M will (probably) be back with me in the next month as my mate is finally working again and able to get BMW parts for his customers' ramp blocking e34 M5s.

Big thanks also go to GrumpyBri for the very-relaxing (I only flinched once, when I couldn't see the extent of a tightening corner from the passenger seat) shot-gunning opportunity on the Sunday - and for the loan of the cap (which I assume has been incinerated...not due to COVID, just because I wore it). I really think I'd have chosen an Alpina Z4 over a M if it'd been made in coupe form.

-----------

ETA: garage has called, and there's a weep from the thermostat housing, but the bigger leak is coming from the expansion tank. It looks like the bracket holding it has dropped and the fan belt is gradually eating away at the bottom of the tank. Will all be fixed and good to go shortly.

Cheers Tom...........we were talking about your old Coupe over the weekend. Now that was a special car.

Hope to catch up with you next year.

Is this a new one? Think you had a white one last time? Really lovely colour!

I do regret getting rid of it and its unfortunate demise a few weeks after it was sold

But I am enjoying the roadster and hopefully it will be to a similar standard by next national :)
