want to echo everyone else's praise for Craig and Sammyz organising of the weekend. Was fabulous once again. The pics below were when my baby had a little hissy fit. So an extra thanks to Jim (man with more tools than snap on) and Phil for helping get me going again.

Hi Trev...hope the car has been alright since and was just a loose filler cap?

Damn bugs on windshield. Ruining 99% of the shots

*edit*
Not to mention the damn glare too. At least on the second day I cleaned my windshield so it's not as bad. Mrs. Aebous really liked getting my right mirror in the camera shots. I think she was trying to get either A: the scenery in the mirror or B: the Z4 behind us at that given time.

Great minds think alike! :D

I have prety much got the article for the bmw carclub mag finished(with some help from sammyz),and just want to check that everyone is happy having photos in the article that may include them or their cars,eg the group pics from the silecroft/beach stop..and for the Raffle/prize winners getting a mention,of course??

U have til 2mrw/Friday 15th July to voice any opinions, but i did mention the article, photos, etc, etc at the meet(and beforehand),just a few times..so there shouldnt be any objections then, lol

are you showing the article/pics here before submitting it to the car club?

What would be the point of the article then, tazx???

In other words,no/afraid not...u will just need to go buy a copy of the bmw carclub magazine(probably sept issue).
I have put info on this in prevs posts, but will be putting more (detailed) info up nearer the time of it going to print.

Trust me though...i have a second and 3rd opinion on the article, from both sammyz/John(who wrote part of it),and from my Wife(who always gives an honest opn). ,it is a decent article, for (my) 1st attempt at doing such a thing, and it took me the past 2wks,and several drafts to get there, lol

Th point would be that other BMW fans could read as well as Z4-forum fans :P

I will just have to be patient then :(

Other BMW fans will get to see it in the Carclub magazine also, and i know what u are saying, that its basically a members only mag,but as mentioned, the mag costs £5,and i have spoken to Louise @ the Carclub office, and she has agreed to do it at face value (of £5),inc p&p,to those who want it...if ppl can give me an idea of how many the club will need to set aside for us,that would be great........beyond that,i may well scan and print the finished article, from the mag itself,in the future/for all to see (if possible). Cheers

p.s,dont worry,taz,there may even be a pic of a coupe or 2,lol

if you promise there will be a coupe in there i will definately have a copy, assume paypal or american express

yeah, but it may not be yoursi am afraid/as the mag will have the final say,as i wil be sending them around 12pics to choose 6 from

Hey folks....the article for the BMW Carclub mag has now been finished, and sent off to them. i looked through everyones pics(inc my own) that had posted to date,or sent links, and that meant ALOT of photos,as i went thru every1s photobucket links, etc. i managed to narrow this down to 19 pics, which i hope they will publish at least 6 or 7 of(as they mentioned).
The article should be 2pages/aprox 1500 words,and qt a few of us get a mention;ie raffle/prizewinners,etc :D

I will keep u updated as to what issue for defnt that it will appear in,when and how to get a copy nearer the time, but should be sept issue(at end of August/early Sept).

I also donated our money to the prevsly mentioned Christies Cancer Hospital/Research centre, and they will be sending me proof of this in due course. We managed to raise bang on £150,so well done all those who bought raffle tkts

I will put ur name down for 1 taz,tho i will verify as soon as i can,how many will be available (if unlimited copies, that is),when i speak to th bmw carclub again, cheers.

On that note,i will be pming a few of u whose pics i had sent on to the mag...as they are not high enough res....they need to be AT LEAST 650kb,and preferably around 1mb. thanks

Dear Mr Bolton

Thank you so much for your kind donation of £150.00 raised from BMW Z4 Owners Club meeting and charity raffle. This gift has been credited to the Cancer Appeal Fund.

Many breakthroughs in cancer diagnosis and patient care have originated at The Christie thanks to close collaboration between the hospital’s doctors and scientists. Our charitable funds are essential in enabling this work to continue. Currently 400 different treatment programmes are being researched in our clinical trials unit, each aimed at improving patient comfort and increasing the number of patients surviving cancer.

Building work is now complete on our new £35 million patient treatment centre. The iconic new building will become home to the largest early clinical trials unit in the world. Clinical trials are research studies to find better ways to prevent, diagnose or treat cancer. They aim to find out if a treatment is safe, has side-effects and works better then established treatments. Around 2,400 patients a year will be treated at our new clinical trials unit – double the number we currently treat.

Thank you once again for your support, which is very much appreciated. Are you aware that future donations can be made online by visiting our website http://www.christies.org.

Yours sincerely
