national meet at Gaydon

Right shall we try and bring this all together ?

Date: 16 August 2009 Times: 10am - 4pm
Probably the largest gathering of BMWs in the world – even more than Bimmerfest in the USA!

Trade Stands, special displays, largest BMW Show & Shine competition in UK (sponsored by Meguiar’s). BMW specialist suppliers such as Hartge, AC Schnitzer, Alpina. Use of Aston Martin test track. HUGE raffle with over 1,000 prizes.

THE BMW Show in the UK so don’t miss it!!!!

Adults £11.00

M40 Warwick Services does seem a good place to get to first, just an idea of time. Event starts at 10, so shall we say, 930am with a view to moving off about 1030am?

I'm off to go fit my aero side skirts and give her a bit of a hoover.

Oh my gosh, forgot about this, silly me!! Has anyone got the convoy sorted from the north??

Also do we need to organise a stand at the show or just turn up??

What time would we need to set off?

I reckon Me (if i go, will confirm soon), You, Paddy and whoever else from our area should meet at Sainsburys petrol station at Meadowhall like we did for the Midlands Breakfast club.

Thats ok with me....

I'll be on one of the BMWCC stands (M-Power, Z-Register, or Coupe register?) and have to be there before the peasants/plebs arrive.

I'll be staying in Brum on the Saturday to have a curry with mates, so will be going from there.

Just under 2 hrs drive... 10am start... Meet at 8am leave shortly after?

Has anyone organised a stand for us at all!??!? Dont particularly wanna park with all the 'Peasants' as mmm-five calls it

You should be at Trowell services by about 9:15 I reckon, are you going to drive through so we can tag on the back of the line?

no stand as far as im aware- im on the ferry at the mo so have no signal to contact the organisers to see if they can sort something for us- i no each car orginally had to apply to be in the main arena. If not we should organise some sort of strategy so as to all arrive/park together? Any thoughts?

No worries, we'll meet you in the parking area. Itll only take us 45mins so if you can be there for 9:00 and ready to dash that would be good. :)

Andy... Sounds like a plan - We'll meet you there :)

Aero side skirts are on :D 8)

I'm guessing there's no major rush, from Trowell to Warwick and then 30mins in Warwick means we'll probably get to Gaydon nearer 11.

Where's Mr CJ, he's very quiet..

Just a quick heads-up for unmarked cars on the A46 between Coventry and the M40. I was nearly caught a few weeks back by a grey 3 or 5 series BMW that looked like he wanted to "play", fortunately the Leon in front of me took the bait and I didn't bother, 2 miles up the road it lit up blue and nicked him. A mate had a similar experience with a Black Golf R32 a few days later on the same stretch of road, so we will need to keep it sensible on the M69, A46 and M40. I would hate to give them the pleasure of nicking one of us. :)

Yes.. wise warning.

They have tonnes of unmarked cars around here, usually all exotica too. Blue impreza is another one that comes to mind. Also, most roads in Warwickshire have been reduced from 60 to 50, which is an absolute pain in the derriére.

So, Warwick Services on the M40 heading South(ish) from M42/M6? (9.30am to 10:30 am?? Is this the meeting up point?

I'm just heading of to worcester now,see you guy's at warwick services in the morning............... :driving:

Ed and Paddy (maybe anyone else...) i'll see you at 8am at Meadowhall petrol station like last time.

Everyone else, see you later on
