i didn’t think we’d still be in, so hadn’t given it much thought :P

Wonder if we can get a large TV set up outside by the BBQ, rather than in the bar, as I don’t think my Chinese projector will work very well outdoors at that time of the evening.

Although about half the attendees might be cheering for our opponents :poke:

I am working on making sure we have a TV to watch the 2ND half of Belgium v Italy on Friday, and the England game on the Saturday.

England did well and deserved to go through.
I wasn't cheering on Germany, and not many Scots in attendance this year,Tony....in fact,I may be the only one.

Just a role reversal from years ago, when we were all cheering on Scottish tennis star Andy Murray in the Wimbeldon Final he went onto win :x
No bias in this forum group, lol
I was sending Andy all my psychic energy on Monday, as he looked like he needed it after the 3rd set.

I’m probably like you…I will support my national team if they’re playing another British team, but if they’re not I’ll support whatever British team is playing.

Please see Page 1 of this thread ,2 or 3 paragraphs down....
Re Start times etc.
Basically,as follows.....

SATURDAY DRIVE.....START/MEET TIME IS 9A.M SHARP IN CROOKLANDS CAR PARK ,TO BE LEFT BY 9.30A.M
PROMPT,AS WE HAVE A SLIGHTLY LONGER DRIVE THEN PAST COUPLE OF YEARS.
POSTCODE IS LA7 7NW.
P.LEASE HAVE A FULL TANK OF FUEL ON ARRIVING AT THE HOTEL CAR PARK.
There's a Fuel station just a couple of minutes along the road, but if you NEED SUPER UNLEADED, like myself and a few others, you need to go to Shell/Esso,etc in Kendal, about 10 minutes drive away...so please factor this into your plans for getting here on time,as we do need to hand out info at 9am,and leave by 9.30. Tnanks

Look forward to seeing you all soon :driving: :D

Crap news, my wife has been identified by the NHS track and trace as having been near someone with covid and consequently has to isolate for 10 days from yesterday so we will not be able to join you and the others at Crooklands.
Really p'd off with the whole covid situation.
I'm getting in touch with the Hotel this morning to let them know and cancel our room etc.
So if anyone was wanting to go there is a double room now vacant for the Fri Saturday and Sunday night.
I suggest you contact Craig as the hotel will be liaising with him.
Hope you have a great weekend and keep safe.
It did cross my mind to come on my own but I'm not that brave :)

We don't bite, you could come yourself, and just take the Room as Single occupancy.

The Hotel phoned me today while I was working,to let me know.

Rooms still available until tomorrow morning if anyone was wanting it,and thinking of coming.

Ha, I meant not brave enough to leave SWMBO at home, she wouldn't have been impressed.
She's 5'2" of pure fury. :D

Weathers not looking to clever - solid rain from 10 on Saturday right through hmmmmph

I am hopeful it will be okay,as the weather has been great recently,in most places.
When I checked AccuWeather last night,it said only a 50/50 chance of rain, which were going to be a couple of showers.
Hopefully it is dry and sunny.
Keep the faith mate :driving:

The rain will keep the day trippers and cyclists away.

It's only going to be a couple of showers,at most, according to AccuWeather, which is where I look every meet/year,and they are fairly accurate, lol.

Hopefully it will be nice, dry and sunny :driving: :D

Hopefully if you see any rain it’ll just be passing showers

I hope the weather does hold out for you all and you have a cracking weekend :driving:

You should run your new z in Andy,by coming along for the weekend,or even one day at least , be good to see you :driving:

Also,we don't have any new shape z4's this year.
Had one two years ago,on loan from dealer,in lovely frozen Orange, and one pulled out from last yet,due to Covid, but none down this year. Pity

Hopefully meet you at a drive soon,Andy

Regards the Football, Friday/Saturday, I am assured there are TVs at the Hotel and Campsite that we will be able to watch.
And, speaking to Waters edge, they are getting lovely, scorching hot weather the same as I am in Sunny Ayrshire,it's been warm all week in Kendal and is set to continue over the Weekend, according to locals, lol.
Where we go on our drives should be ok too, hopefully.
