Hi there, out of the blue the Zed overheated today half a mile from home, pulled over before it hit the red and called the over half to bring some coolant out, filled up and got home, lifted the hood and within minutes it's overheating again. The fan didn't kick in so thinking it's that I looked in the fuse box but can't see a fuse for it?

If it's not that, I'm guessing it could be the thermostat or water pump? Either way is there an easy way to diagnose or eliminate them as possible causes.

Bit up the creek as I live in the middle of nowhere and can't get the car to a garage :(

Can't help but think this is related to the expansion tank replacement. Check your coolant level and see if any of the connections to the new tank are leaking etc. Welcome to the forum by the way!

Welcome to the forum, where are the photos of your car?? it's the law you know. :poke:
As above, was it over heating before they did the expansion tank ?? I doubt it. I would get in touch with the garage and see what they have to say about it. If there are no leaks, it sounds like it could be air locked.
