Nasty shock

Just about to finish at work when I had a call from the wife, we have had a break in.
As she approached our house there were two men by our gate one having just come off our drive, she heard one say was there know one in then.
While they looked a bit shifty ,one was wearing a hoodie the other was wearing a woolly hat ,heads pointed to the ground. She thought of asking what they
wanted, but because they looked shifty she did not.
On entering the house the front door would not open ,she managed to push it so she could get in. The hall stand had been placed behind the door to restrict
entry. On entering the hall she could see the back door had the bottom panel removed to gain entry.
Every draw and cupboard had been opened and searched. Shed had been opened with our keys.
The strange thing is nothing has been taken. I have quite a bit of decent camera gear, laptop was on the table etc.
The z keys were in a draw that had been opened? Car was in the locked garage.
The police were called at the same time as I was, they arrived ten minutes after I got home, my workplace is 5 miles away. :|
You feel reassured as you think we have decent insurance, we are with LV.
On reporting the break in and some keys could be missing, he asked if we had any photos of them, who has photos of their keys, he got a pretty
sharp reply. Further dealings with them have not improved there standing as they seem to be trying to wriggle out and make things as awkward as
possible. :headbang:
I am thank full my wife did not arrive home five minutes earlier as they would have still been in the house. This took place last Monday at about 17.40.

F**king bas***ds, you work hard to make your house a home and these scum come along and riffle through your stuff and cause damage :x

At least your wife is safe

Glad to hear your wife is ok - fingers crossed that things are all sorted with the insurance (and of course, karma catches up with the low-lifes)

Thanks for your support, i don't hold much hope of the police catching the lowlifes .
On the night of the break in there was only one csi officer on duty in North East Wales
and that person was involved in a break in elsewhere .We had to wait until the following
morning for them to carry out their checks.
The lowlifes were looking for something in particular, which they did not find .
It could be we were unlucky as they picked the wrong house.

Hard to tell from your discription but perhaps they saw your wife coming and got out, just as she got there and before they had time to do there worst. Must have been awful for her, for both of you. Hope things get back to normal quickly.
