name your best or favourite car ever owned

Love my coupe, and I've only ever had 3 cars which I still own. But just because of the pure fun, head turning it creates and pure road presence...my limited edition defender x-tech

Favourite car was probably my 2007 Ford XR6 Turbo. Fast, comfortable, and looked great.

Xr2, xr3 even an xr4 but never heard of an XR6, what country was this.

Tapatalking on my iPhone.......

looks like Australia

Is Australia. V8 Turbo weren't they? When I bought my Mondeo ST, you could import a brand new Falcon XR6 for under £20k. It was a seriously enticing way of having a bit of V8 muscle!

I'd have to vote for our Puma 1.7. I'd got used to having heavy cars with heavy powerful engines. It re-introduced me to the world of light weight fun where you don't need power to have fun, it's all about the handling and using what you've got properly!

my first car was a mini van - cheap to run and I was 18 at the time so had a mattress in the back ( just in case for comfort !! )

Had an XR2i for about 4 years ( loved it )

My favourite was my calypso red Lotus Elan - still have regrets about selling it.

Love the zed but in a different way - its modern , bigger ,more reliable , comfortable .................but not a Lotus !!

Ah! You've got to love a nicely sorted Landy!

Touch wood I'm lucky in that so far I've had all good cars. Some I have loved more than others, here's my list in order of best to worst (current cars in bold):

92 Scirocco 16v (The one I always wanted, sold to get the zed)
88 E24 635Csi (beautiful, elegant, drove superbly, unfortunately full of rust)
07 Z4 Coupe Sport Auto - Will enjoy it more once I've driven it more
05 Mitsubishi Colt Mirage (funky little car)
95 E36 320i saloon (Gas guzzler)
01 E46 316ti Compact (the pig does its job well)
95 Nissan Micra 1.0 Shape (did a great job but not the nicest to look at)

Bit out of date now but you get the idea.

First car was a 1980 Pontiac Firebird (American muscle car), but it was slooooow. I did love that car!

However, the Zed is by far the nicest car I've ever owned and is my all-time favourite. Just today I had an amazing topless drive home in the sun, giving her magnificant engine a workout and feeling those fabulous g's! :)

I'm 21 so my car history isn't as impressive as i'd like BUT i've had;

Polo GTI 6n2 "01"
BMW 318 E46 "03"
Mini Cooper S "05"
ZED Coupe "08"

The top dog being the ZED of course but the car I had most fun with was probably my first car, just ragged it senseless for a year and never a days trouble! a lot like my first proper girlfriend which was around the same time! :D

i can see now when previous rides are listed how the Zed would easily be the top dog :D some ropey choices chaps :P
not exempt on that front , when i left home at 19 i had a fiesta 1.1 van in orange followed by a ford orion & a rover 820 si
then it was a 320se E30 & german motors only for last 19 years

Jaguar 3.8 E type...... I bought one when you couldnt give them away......Everyone stared at it

I hope you kept it, gorgeous looking car. Convertible I hope.

Probably this one till I wrote it off one night. Cavalier SRi bought it when I was 21 and had for 3 1/2 years. A record only just beaten by my old Z4 some 17 years later

Best car without a doubt my Z4. Favourite that's a hard one I have really enjoyed all my cars.

First car Toyota Paseo, then had a Gen 6 Celica and Mk1 Mr2, swapped the Mk1 for a Mk2 Mr2 and ended up with a Gen 7 Celica. Decided that was enough Toyota's I only needed a Supra to complete the set but got a Z4 instead proved to be an excellent choice :)

My first car was a Hillman Avenger GT. I couldn't find a picture of my car, but did find this magazine advert from when the GT was first launched. The power and performance figures seem very tame now, but this was quick even in 1986 when a bright orange version was my first car at 17.
