Name that noise!

So I haven't started my BMW for a week or two (the shame) and I go to start it the other morning and it makes an odd noise (see video). This is at idle with the air con completely off. The engine was cold and I did check there is plenty of oil in the engine, car in neutral. I couldn't quite tell where the noise was coming from but it did seem to come from the right hand side (aft looking forward). The odd part is once the car had been running the noise gradually went away. I took it for a drive after that and couldn't get it to do anything other than be a badass sports car.

*edit* forgot how to work the youtube thinger, fixed now

Yeah, I'd say a bearing going bad. It'll get worse. You'll be able to determine which one with a length of tubing as stethoscope when the sound returns.

So after a critical look, it looks like a deflection pully (the one below the alternator) has a slight wobble while the engine is running. It's not a big wobble but noticeable with naked eye. So I'm going to try to change that out.
I probably won't do this at my home garage as I don't have adequate lifting devices and probably don't have all the tools I need.

My questions now is...
Should I bother trying to change the other pulley's or just wait until I have the serpentine belt off to see if they are bad?

Does anyone know of a HOW-to for how to do this? I have a buddy willing to help I'd just like a visual guide.

I dont remember the correct sizes ..... but .....useing a torx bit on a ratchet to take the tension off the serpentine belt tensioner, slip the belt off the pulley, ( no need to remove the power steering belt) then spin up by hand all the pulleys to check for rough operation or any obvious noise. then to remove the pulley and bearing ......prise the plastic centre cap off with a thin screwdriver, then useing the correct torx bit on a ratchet loosen and unscrew the pulley and bearing..........refitting is a reverse of the above.
shouldnt take more than 30 minutes ...... hope this is of some help

on realoem the pulley and bearing that I suspect is part no 3.....it shows a long bolt which holds it on ... but the last one I changed it was a torx bit head , not a bolt.

I believe I have the correct pulley identified, it is below the alternator pulley. So which part number is this?

The pulley you have marked as the alternator pulley......isnt the alternator pulley....thats the one to the right of it .......the pulley you have marked looks like the actual tensioner pulley which I believe is only available complete.....(part no 2 on that realoem link)

Ah whups, thought I had that mixed up but I didn't feel like going back to the car to make sure. Thanks for your help.
