N95 Snap-In adaptor - where from?

Hi

I like the bluetooth facility in my car, but the fact that the phone book is unobtainable and the fact that only the number appears on the display is annoying.
I have the cradle space in my car but i need the cradle for my Nokia N95. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Ta

I don't think you are implying this but just to make sure, you do know that adding the snap in adaptor won't fix those issues, it will just provide charge and an ext antenna for the phone?

I have the same phone (with the same issues) and have not heard of a snap-in for it, but then again I haven't looked.

Correct - it was an assumption that by getting the correct snap-in i would be able to get the phone book feature. Oh well, if not then never mind. I need to take a trip to the $tealers later, so might see if they know if anything is available officially

Will report back

Bluetooth phone compatibility is highly erratic with Bimmers. Seems to depend upon getting the right combinations of phone and car age (which governs the ULF module from 1 through 13) The BMW site contains a full list, although many others work well or to varying degrees

You need to live with the issue, change the phone, or car..lol

Personally I would not bother with the cradle. Aside the cost of getting and fitting I have used them before and find it easier to just leave the phone in my jacket or bag/trunk. I've walked away from the car too many times with the phone still in the cradle and if I do need to charge it the power socket portable is easy enough.

On the other hand, the cradle is neat and tidy and no loose wires about. Secondly, in weak signal areas the aerial of the car gets you a better signal (in Norfolk, no signal on phone - but had signal when putting the phone in the cradle).

I can see your points, but I can't recall the last time I ever charged the phone anywhere except USB cable while syncing with my laptop. The extra aerial could be useful, but in the civilised world not lost reception much, but at 70 with the hood down it makes little difference anyway..lol
