Hi All,

I have a few questions I was wondering if you can help.

1. Do N52 engine'd e89's have an oil temperature sensor? if so can you see it on the dash or via Torque OBD etc

2. Could I possibly have some photos of the oil filter housing & oil cooler.

What I'm getting at... my e86 has the n52 but no oil temp sensor, the oil filter housing has unused holes that are blocked off, So I'm hoping an e89 has them in use and they are oil temp sensors, so I can use an e89 Housing/cooler on mine and wire up a temp sensor!

Hi Adam,

Sorry I cannot help you with any technical response, but I was looking at an E89 advert for a 3.0iSdrive yesterday and I remember noticing that there is a little symbol like an oil can above the temperature gauge so it must have a sensor!

Hopefully someone with some technical knowledge will be along soon!

Hi Bradz, yes the e89 does have an oil temp gauge in place of the coolant temp the e85 displays-sorry but I no longer have my si to take a pic :oops:
