N52 swap into M54 Z4

I want to swap an N52 3.0 into a M54 3.0i roadster.. please let me know what's needed and who to go to (UK) and what's needed please... Must be easily doable right ?
 
It is probably possible, I don't know, but why would you do it? Doing all that to gain 30hp? Trust me, you have enough power. Just my opinion.

If you're going to engine swap with all the hours and work involved, why not think bigger..

Check real oem for specific parts between 2003-2005 and 2006-2008. I think there might be quite a bit. For starters I believe the N52 Z4s used the newer MSSV70 ecu. Also think they used a transmission with a different length input shaft (don't quote me on that though) Also wiring for the engine is probably slightly different, so you'll likely need a new main wiring harness, etc...

Drive shaft is 7mm longer in n52 engine, if you have all engine harness and ecu. Its should be quite straigh foward to install. Almost plug and play😅

Seems like you've made up your mind to go for it. Let us know how it goes!

Just know that it would likely be more cost/time effective to just buy a Z4 with an N52.

No i didnt dot it, but rebuild m54 with forced internals and boost it😅

This is the kind of info im looking for... Also to answer the question of just getting the N52 equipped car... I don't like the facelift styling and my Z4 only cost me £1800 with all the options fitted, with roof motor relocation mod, BC coilovers, all the little mods like Clutch valve delete etc.... Black with red seats..... I love it!!!

An N52 car is around 7k here (UK)....

If the N52 conversion can be done for not too much with 275hp potential.... That's a win right ?!?... I can source the donor car so that's no issue.

Im not after big power or to spend big money, love my Z4 just want the N52 in it now as I think that completes them.... I already have a V10 M6 plus others on the fleet for my mad man moments fix!!! :driving: :D

Anyone in the UK that you can point me too ?
