N52 Sound generator - a long shot I know...

OK, so I'm after a sound generator for my zed.

It's a 2.5i N52 engine (2007 model year). As far as I can tell, I need this:

...Which is referred to in this post:

...I understand it came as standard on 3.0 Coupes and 3.0si roadsters of the same age, but not on any of the 2.5 zeds...happy to stand corrected though.

Does anyone have one that they're wanting to sell, or any ideas where I might find one?
I've tried breakers but not been successful (I think some don't really understand what the part is and what it's for), and not really wanting to pay dealer prices either...

Cheers
Jess

Didn't have one on my 2.5si either, std on 3.0si only roadster or coupe.

Best bet will be a breakers tbh.

You beat me to it - was just researching (again) on RealOEM and you're 100% correct :)

Mod your exhaust back box instead. Personally not keen on the sound generator mod, just sounds false..

Or induction kit. Must admit it was the reason I never fitted one as it only added noise to the cabin.

the sound generator does sound kinda false.

Especially if you take both pieces of foam out... very fake and tubular sounding.

have your back box cut open and the internals modified.

OEM look and cheap to do
