This is more just a post for future reference/info. I had (self inflicted!) issues with my N52's power distribution module (also used on the N52 E83 X3), so bought a replacement. Out of interest, I took my old one apart, and here's pictures of what's inside. There's a couple of relays, but otherwise it's all hard soldered. I saw pictures of other BMW modules with replaceable fuses - but there's nothing user serviceable in these.
