I'm sure this has been asked many times, but I'm getting conflicting info! Plugs in my e86 were last changed 5 years/22000 miles ago. It's being serviced soon, should I be putting new plugs in? Some people seem to say every 5 years, some say they are good for 100000 miles.

I wasn't aware that plugs aged over time, so im pretty sure it's mileage based rather than years.
Around 60,000 miles, from memory.

Well if it gives you any peace of mind my 330i (N52 engine) went for a service last week at RBM and I got a call from them around lunchtime.

They had noticed that according to the Service Book it hadn't had new plugs since 2010! :o

But that was only 64K miles ago and it was still running fine, although I did agree new plugs would be a good idea even though the OBC was saying they had another 29K miles to go.
