N52 engine problems - sh*tloads of smoke, hesitation - HELP!

Cheers. Been for a blast this morning, feels healthy

Hard to tell if it was stuttering slightly of whether it was the lack of traction at 6k rpm in 3rd on a damp, cold road

Washing under bonnet is a big NO-NO for me :evil:
many do it but it just don,t seem right putting water where it shouldn't be ?

Yeah, I don't think I'll be repeating that! But it badly needed something done under there.

Still not convinced it was an electrical connection problem, but seeing as the car's now running fine I can't see what else it could've been. That's unless the Redex injector cleaner I added to the tankful has actually done something!

I used Redex once (can't remember which of my cars it was - either my 306 or first Mondeo - both where fuel injected though). About a day or two later it was running rough as hell, and it ended up at the garage needing injectors cleaned and a sensor replaced. The unfinished bottle of Redex still sits on a shelf on the garage never to be used again.
