N52 Engine Noise Information (HVA) *Cost Update

Sounds like your about to jump through the first hoop if they are to replace the HVAs (which does NOT solve the problem). Then its just a waiting game for the noise to come back (took about a 3-4 weeks for me), then they have to witness the noise again, then they will replace the head.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

EFA, they might replace it. Seems that some garages will others wont. Mine are s**t and wont. Its much better with the new HVAs though

Sorry Taz but thats what I expected, I think the best you can hope for is the HVAs being changed which will improve it but wont stop it.

BMW do not want to recognise it as an issue and call it a "charactersitic"

Is it as bad as the videos I posted?

If so I would be kicking up a fuss, point them to all the information on the web.
