N52 CCV replacement - any help please

Hi

As preventative maintenance I wish to sort my ccv before it goes as the car is a 2006 E85 3.0 N52, on 100k now

I've had a search and can't find any guides or how to's on here, could anyone point me in the right direction please?

Hi, I think some people have managed this with nothing removed from the engine-most say it's easier to remove the inlet manifold though :?

Isn't this built into the valve cover on the N52? A bigger job than the older M54.

I can add that it was a PITA to fit the cold-climate version CCV on my M54 engine. intake manifold had to come off but it was a good opportunity to clean everything up a bit. good luck if it's supposed to be trickier with the N52!

Later N52 has it integrated, earlier do not. I took the manifold off and did the starter at the same time. Not a difficult job just fiddly with all the small wiring connectors.
