I'm only working on 5 day forecasts - we need to leave it for a while yet and hope - we may get one of those blue sky still winter days (Fingers crossed for a spell of high pressure)

We shall see. . . .

:driving:

No havnt spoke with him yet will text him after I've posted this. Am meeting him at 8:30 to take car across to his pals fr bushes to be fitted.

Met up with Craig and Mike to confirm route.

Route posted on OP at front of thread.

Anymore takers? This is our first run of the season - was up that way yesterday and it was beautiful!

We've had a few new members join the forum and I would encourage anyone considering joining us and not certain, to come along and add a further level of enjoyment to their Zed ownership. There's nothing like being on great roads with some wonderful scenery in the company of other Zeds. Lots of photo opportunities and of course a chance to meet and talk with other owners. We have some terrific folk of all types come on our runs so you're certain to feel at home. We do seek out great roads to enjoy the capabilities of our Zeds but we are on public roads with due consideration for other road users. We provide route sheets and contact details and always build in appropriate re-grouping points so as not to lose anyone. So don't be reluctant - come join us and give it a try.

:driving:

Hi, I am a newbie ( pick the car up tomorrow ) and would probably have come along but I am away that weekend :(
Always next time tho

Hi Welcome to the Forum MrGit ( :? )

Well, despite your chosen forum name ( :( or  not sure which yet!) good to hear from you and hope you get sorted with your Zed - see you're based in Newcastle so watch out for our other runs this season.

Biker? There's lots of us bikers or ex bikers on the forum and in the NE so you'll know the great roads we have up here.

Hope to hear from you for the next run then - post up some photos of your Zed and let us know how you get on. . . .

:driving:

Good to hear (was worried you were hoping to live up to your forum name :D )

Great bike the Honda 600 - can't go wrong.

BrianD - Sorry you can't make it - catch up on another run later in the season.

The run's a week away.

Steph and I recce'd the run yesterday and we'll keep an eye on the weather as on the Pennines there is a little ice on the sides of the road in places, rest of the roads were ok.

The road from Middleton in Teasdale to Alston has been resurfaced which is a big improvement. (See account of this recce posted separately)

It will be great to get out on a forum run again. The route is 101 miles (sufficient for our first run of the season)

If we decide to cancel we'll post asap but more likely we'll meet and change the route if needed, just to avoid the higher roads.

:driving:

Afraid I'm not going to make this one, have a Burns night/ceilidh the night before so won't be driving early on Sunday! Hope you make it out and the weather is fair :).

Hi, good to hear from you Andrew.

This is just the first of the season and the weather will dictate pace and route.

Hope to see you on some of our other runs and we'll certainly get up to Scotland this year.

All the best - enjoy the ceilidh!

:driving:

Damn! :x Been watching the BBC long term weather forecast. . . .

Series of lows coming through with snow Wed and Thursday  (Friday as well on our route).

High winds from the North and freezing temperatures Sat and Sun!

As a result I'll be watching how the weather develops but it's not looking promising. :(

Looking to meet up with Chezsherman and Cherrym on Wed - will discuss further and see what the forecast looks like then.

Well it is early in the year and we did say it was weather dependent! :(

:driving:

Hi Paul belated New Year wishes to you and all attendees of the NE runs.
Sorry I haven't been around for a little while - been shooting tigers in India as Charlie Croker would say!!
Can't make the run this Sunday but count us in for the next one
Hope the weather holds for you guys.

Hiya Martin,

Glad to hear you've been busy. . . Happy New Year to you as well.

Look forward to catching up with you on one of our runs then - magic.

Weather's looking a bit doubtful at the moment for the weekend. . . watching the long range forecasts carefully.

:driving:

Keep us posted on that weather Paul Its looking dodgy as you said. They are tending to 'overstate' the conditions these days so its really difficult.
We are still looking to come down at present. Car is in garage and I need to do a few jobs on it this week so just off the the garage now!

Gutted I can't make this run due to work as it would have been my first!

Definitely keeping an eye out for more in the future as I would very much like to meet members and join in properly :driving:
