Mystery Wire and Potentially Non-existent Bluetooth

So I bought my Z4 3 days ago and I absolutely adore it...
Hit a monstrous pothole last night and thought my tire went but it seems that I need alignment, doesn't look like I bent any suspension components, at least that's what I'm Hoping.
I looked under the bumper and see it has cracked it a bit, almost undetectable to the naked eye, however under the bumper I have broken off the plastic cover that is immediately under the passenger side headlight and I see a small yellow wire with a female connector is hanging through...
I thought maybe it's be the temperature sensor but I see it's on the other side in all pictures on the forum... Or is it reversed since I'm in the USA?
I also can't figure out if the Bluetooth button in my car is installed in vain or actually linked to a tcu module.
I have the SOS feature so I think at one point it was there.
I tried connecting the Bluetooth 20 times using all methods mentioned, my iPhone 4 does not recognize it.
My car is a 2004 z4 22k original miles black on black on black.
I would appreciate your expertise.
Thank you in advance, I already know you guys are quite the afficianados.

Re Bluetooth, do you have the shouty face button in the centre compartment? And if you do you are pressing this one to pair up to the phone not on the wheel?

Piccy of the wire and connector would help

How do I post pictures?
On the center ompartment I don't see the shouty face just the r/t button and shouty face on steering wheel

If you don't have the pairing button in the centre console it sounds like you don't have BT. If you have nav, you would see the option of 'telephone' in there.

I would get your car up on a lift and check that your wheels aren't buckled. Not a lot you can do if it is, but it's worth checking if the damage is so bad you should change the wheel. Unfortunately I'd say the chances of it being buckled are quite high! :(.
