Mystery Velcro straps in boot

I've noticed I have a pair of velcro straps at the very back/bottom of the boot - anyone have any idea what they're for??

Think it's for the warning triangle if it's in the recess almst behind the number plate

At the rear bulkhead?

Aren't they are for the folding wind deflector when its in its bag! I'm sure mine was in there. I'm away on holiday in Germany at the mo and the bags at home.

I think a folding brolly is a crackin' good idea tho  Certainly better than the wind deflector stowage 'cos who takes it out once fitted?

Car is well equipped for skiing. Not a feature I will use although pass through pass useful for golf clubs with roof down.

I don't think golf bats will go thro (Not in their bag any way)

I will get my shotgun thro tho!

Transport it broken or in 2 halts ?

There's always a way  I've got a nice breakdown case the boys at work bought me. I reckon that'll fit in - I haven't taken the zed up the track yet - Its a bit on the rough side.

The two velcro ties in the boot below the bulkhead pass thru are for the ski mounting rail.

That's not one of BMW's best ideas - It looks more like a British Leyland after thought!

I reckon stowage of a folding brolly gets my vote :D
