Hi all I purchased a e89 yesterday it’s a 2015 2.0 it had a loose plastic item in the glove box it’s stamped bmw but I have no clue of we’re it goes or even if it from this car. Attached a couple of pictures. Can you help?

Looks like the interior/windscreen mirror surround

Many thanks. You are absolutely right it’s no 4 on the diagram.
Obviously the owner must of replaced it for some reason.

Most likely scenario is the old one was lost when a new windscreen was fitted. Then found afterwards.
