Brace bracket that fits across the exhaust pipes where they meet the down pipes. Shouldn’t be able to come off unless the bolts are missing

I’ve got a brand new one here if needed. If the holes holes been rubbed though and made bigger.
Or as above the original studs and nuts could have corroded away and pulled through the bracket.

Thanks, are they a bitch to get to ?
Studs and nuts can be very tricky to replace if you don’t have lots of heat and a big hammer to knock the studs out.

Mine totally rusted away. Local exhaust place charged me an hours labour to sort it out.

Yes they are a hell of a job to get out, took me two days with heat and eventually a air hammer drill to drift what was left of the studs out and that was after cutting a slot across the flange so the stud hole had a release of pressure. Replaced mine with stainless bolts and nuts, replaced the gaskets when refitted. If you resort to air hammer take the exhaust sensor out before you start, vibration shocks killed mine and that had to be replaced. My old thread on this here with pictures https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=142161&start=15

+1 in what [ref]colb[/ref] said, the only thing that worked for me was to cut relief slots in the flanges. From there heat and air hammer works well. And as he said, remove sensors first which can already be an ordeal...
