My zed weekend (pic heavy)

Having missed last week's Argyll run due to logistical issues, I was determined to make the most of this weekend with my zed.

Saturday it threatened rain, which was delivered at lunch time. So the zed stayed in the garage. Sunday, the sun came out.

I was faced with a dilemma -

a) spend the day cleaning the car
Or
b) get out and drive it, the give it a quick wash in the evening.

Easy. I went for B.

I rarely drive the zed these days, as its a weekend only car. I drive a (far) less powerful car during week, which makes getting in the zed that little bit more special :)

Sunday was spent up Glen Clova and Glen Prosen. Hooning :D

Late afternoon I set about some mods that I'd been putting off for ages.

///M tri colour steering wheel:

I also fitted a new custom gear shifter, some of you might have spotted it in Nosa's old motor.

It weighs 750g - so is 50% heavier than my old ZHP. For those who love the added weight a ZHP gives, this shifter is even better. Love it.

Didn't have time to re tint my clear rear lights, so that'll need to wait for another weekend.

Quite a busy day yesterday. Shame I had to go back to work today :headbang:

Some stunning pics there Adamski, obviously you managed to grab the best of the sun yesterday

Like the through the mirror photo, a fantastic shot which is worthy of an entry into this months photo competition!

The new M Sport steering looks good mate. Bet you can feel a big difference when driving.

Great pics Adamski. Very jealous :D

Love that gear knob - bet your hand just glides around it. Do you know the make ? Or was it made for Nosa by someone ?

It was a Jonnyfive limited edition special

Only 2 made to my knowledge. There's a thread somewhere that might prove me wrong tho! :)

Edit - @Swiftly - yeah steering wheel makes the drive much better :)

That wing-mirror picture is spectacular, if you look quickly it looks like it's just a window with the trees and grass verge lining up perfectly.

Good stuff, glad you had a good weekend!

Your photo at the bridge in Glen Clova brought back memories of the times in the fifties when my mum & dad would take me as a child for Sunday picnics. You're parked just where the old bridge started, this was a very popular spot for people from Dundee to have a picnic.
My dad had an Austin 7 then a Morris 8 in those days.
Everything was black and white at that time so I changed your photo.
