My Zed has changed colour!

After much thinking, I lost my bottle on the Alpine White Zed, the car hasn't yet gone to build so I rang the dealer and changed the colour, no probs, just an extra £400 or so!
I felt that if this car was going to be a keeper for quite a few years, then white may be great now but I felt I might tire a bit of it and it might be a bit of a 'fad' colour. Add to that some wife pressure to amend the colour :)

Still kept the Coral Leather though :D

Oh, the new colour is Black Sapphire :driving:

My sapphire black E86 just gets nicer-gave her a good wash and wax last week. Gorgeous color.

No don't do it!!!!!!

Seriously, people have been saying that white will go out of fashion since 2005. And there are more white cars now than ever.

Although I do love black too, it's just a pig to keep nice.

Good call I think white look's better in sunny climates, not downcast UK

Do not discount red. Looks better in the flesh than in the pics. It looks astonishing, believe me. Humbly suggest you go to a dealer and look at one. I took it to work the day I picked it up and it certainly got a lot of interest. It is also a real head turner in the street. I have also had a couple of Boxters and a Cayman pull along side for a good bog at it!

Melbourne Red metallic looks quite nice in the brochure. I haven't seen one yet, and I don't think it is available to other models.

Trust me, white is the new black. My car turns more heads than you could ever believe. To be honest i hate the attention, but white being just a fad is incorrect in my opinion, it's here to stay, and for a long time to come.

I drove a Melbourne Red M Sport at the local dealer; It did look very nice. I like a lightish interior (not black) so wanted to stick with red leather and clearly red and red do not go together. I also considered the Space Grey and TiAg with the red too. The wife is rather exasperated by the whole car buying thing and only has time for her Mini, but she kept complaining about white, she likes black..... so do I! Another thought was that the white did scream a little of 'look at me', and I would be uncomfortable with that being a greying 45 year old

I came close to buying an old style Z4 last year, that was Black with red. Anyway, I still think this combo looks the bees knees!

Why you're still a young lad yet :)

My 35is is going the opposite way...

I bought it in Black Sapphire, but am looking to have it vinyl wrapped in white. For me, this seems like the best of both worlds; being able to have a white car now, whilst keeping the black paint in pristine condition in case it ends up being hard to sell a white car in a few year's time.
