The obvious part is that it allows iPod functionality through the stock head unit, however it has lots of other tricks such as coding (e.g. setting headlights to remain on for X seconds after locking, etc).
Someone probably has a list out there of all the bits and bobs it can do.
On a side note, I finished a ZHP today on Rob's recommendation above - it's a big improvement, definitely a must-do mod.
