My Z4M Coupe

That's good for the UK crowd then. :D I got an even better deal because i come over from Cyprus and got it when the GBP was almost at its lowest. Talk about good timing.

That's true. I checked the AUC site the other day and they were only 4 coupes available and another 2 coming soon. More roadsters though, around 20.

9 now inc coming soon, cheapest ~£22k for an 06 car with 20k miles.

Only see 4 Z4MC available on there, plus 2 coming soon - cheapest is a 26k mile Imola Red & Black Nappa for £22k.

A BMW dealer told me (not the one I bought it from) that last month the Z4M Coupe went up by £450 according to their trade book.

I am not sure if I paid over the odds or not, but as there was not many around I took my chances. Doubt I would of found another one with that spec and colour anytime soon. Had to be Silver Grey and Imola Red Leather. Worth every penny though :D .

Hopefully it won't depreciate like my E46 M3 Convertible did in 1 year  !!!

ga41 when did you purchase yours?

Not that i am defending BMW but someone WAS interested in that car! I know him- very well in fact! It was me!

I wasn't that upset but it was/is a lovely car. I wasn't sure about the grey until I saw it in the flesh... it looked fantastic!

Congrats - btw were you the guy who was there with his girlfriend and test drove it just before another rather hansome looking chap??!! has ha!

BTW Flimper - its me from Camberley (993,M3) you remember! i just have a different user name!

dmsmith401 Yep that was me.

I agree I was not struck on the Silver Grey until I saw it. Best colour in my opinion. I saw it the week before in the showroom and was very impressed.

Did you find the dealer hard to deal with? I first dealt with Chris who a top chap but then James the Business Manager came out after I made a rediculous offer and was to be honest a bit off with us LOL !!!

How come you did not buy it yourself???

It was probably the bit that said 'CAT D' on the HPI Report :D

Only kidding! :) looks a beautiful example - you must be really chuffed! my dad used to have a grey M3 with red leather and I always loved the combination.

I wasn't ever really going to buy THAT car because I hadn't sold my 911. However I have now and I have source one in Interlagos.

Were you thinking I was going to buy it that day? :-) The dealer didnt even call me after that day at all (or the week after!). Maybe he didnt take me seriously so I might get my car serviced there at some point!!

Did you get them to sort out the front bumper? It had been dislodged somehow and maybe broken a few pins and as such was out of alignment. Not serious but needed doing IMO.

So whats your feedback on the first week or so of ownership? When i drove it the car certainly felt 'healthy'!!

No I was told they had someone interested in it...but being the usual dealer fob I did not believe and walked away for a day, they called to try and sell me it but I said no not unless you give me FREE car tax. They hung up, so I thought no worries I will look for another. But they called back Sunday LOL and did a deal !!!

I asked when I picked it up if they really did have another party wanting to buy it he says yes look and showed some paper work, had a GU15 postcode so guess that was you???

Yep bumper all looks fine to me, they redone the alloys also as one was slightly curbed, there was also a slight scratch on the wing, they were supposed to SMART repair, which I was not convinced about, in my opinion you can't do a decent paint/laquer matching paint job with out doing the whole panel (but I have never seen what SMART repair looks like, any suggestions?). So I decided to leave it as it is, they did touch it in slightly though.

Overall I love the car, eveyrtime I get in the car. Only thing I have an issue with is the Sat Nav screen has a constant loud rattle and tool kit in boots rattle over bumps so going to look at that tomorrow and go the Barons BMW about the Sat Bav. Coopers said they should just replace it under warranty.

Although some Fe(ker at work has put a slight ding on the top of the wing  . W@nkers !!! Called Dent Devils but no one bothered to call me back (so much for companies needing business), I also called Dentrix in Alton, he asked to send a photo so am going to try and do one later but it won't easy to spot on the wing in a photo.

Hope you find one soon :driving: !!!

Cheers

Welcome.. Excellent choice of colour

I agree with you on the smart repair. The old flat black Audi I had was smart repaired after bird sh1t damage. The guy turned up with mini compressor and gun and a heat lamp and you had to be very very keen to spot the repair. However It turns out my Z was smart repaired to remove stone chips (in your colour) and since it was low on the front spoiler, I didn't notice and I'm super fussy. After 8 months the lacquer lifted due the paint not having enough time to cure between applications. More detail here: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10852&p=161435#p161435

It would be interesting to know what you drove before buying a Z4M? Did you have a list of potentials before deciding? Do you have any experience of Barons? Vines seem to be very difficult to buy from but great with servicing etc.
