Hi everyone,

I had a two day paint correction done by Barry from Auto Detox last weekend and he's kindly put a write up on Detailing World.

I was very pleased with the results and Barry really put the effort in with two 12-hour days working on the car.

Clink on the link to read the write up and see the all important before and after photos.

Lovely job.
The darker colours take some looking after, but it's all worth it in the end.

Mine gets me doing a basic wash regularly and then a professional detail annually - pity that some dealers let their valet monkeys out on other people's pride and joy (my fault for forgetting my normal "valet this & you die" poster).

Looks lovely.
Baz has done some exceptional work on many cars.
I still cant undertsand how some spend so many hours rather than getting stuck in and less of the photography bit tbh.
The longest ive spent is around 14 hours on a porsche and that included wet sanding a few panels.

Looks awesome.. surely 2 x 12hrs of detailing was horifically expensive though, despite how fantastic it looks now?

Make me feel pretty bad sometimes when I see the lengths people go to :|

edit... just read £400.. that's lots of money but I guess an investment if lasts a good while.

Yes it is expensive but I'd sort of budgeted to have this done when I bought my car anyway so I looked at it as part of the purchase price. Hopefully from now on it shouldn't need it again. That said the BMW orange peel is annoying me so who knows maybe a wet sanding job may be called for in the future.
