My Z4 Supercharger

Excellent work there!

With the price of Z4's really coming down, the idea of strapping a charger to one and having M power but for a fraction of the cost does sound somewhat enticing...

i would imagine this will be quite alot quicker than an ///M with the boost upped, may even be quicker now tbh as the power is nigh on the same but the tq will be probably be better.

awesome motor. question though...why not just get a z4m? it will give you 340bhp standard.

thats boring, if your into modding your car the supercharger is the way to go. plus you get 330bhp and fuel is combined 30+ mpg and cheaper running cost

supercharger / turbo is about as cool as modding gets!

Thanks to all to welcome! :D

love the car....

11lbs of boost is going turn this into a rocket ship... but I'm not sure it will be a rocket ship that flies for very long.
Hi, i drive less than 5000km/per year, and not planning track the car. Usually saw people on e46´s with more than 10psi without problems. I know if i pass +10psi go for a stroker kit or for a S54 engine but i think M54 is enough stronge to handle around 10psi. I want the Ts3 from ess but Hans and Absjor from Ess told me that it´s impossible to install in a z4, because the fucking ms45 ecu. :(

By the way the LSD is a must it improves all aspect turn in power delivery and stability.

Gracias de nuevo !

Two months ago, dipped the wheels with plasti dip, i use 2 colours, 4 cans of black matt(six coatings) and one can of graphite metallizer (two coats). The final result for me is very good, and the price is about 60 euros. i show the results, and the video of the tutorial The interior wheel is not painted yet because its easy to remove in the future,if i dont like it and its difficult to see the difference, i have to perfect it more if finally decide to have this colour. I don´t know about durability but for now i like the finish, feels similar than painted :)

Hey Spun, do you have more info on your brake setup?

I've been toying with the idea of a BBK but that's 2.5k for a front and rear setup and rather not pay that much if I don't need to.

Thanks

Awesome build!! The second picture with the car sitting in the donut tracks is one of my all time favorite pictures! This is a build done right!

Regarding the increased boost, many of the high horsepower E46's convert to head studs. I'm considering building the engine and moving to a different setup. I just need to figure out why no one has been able to tune the stock ECU to handle the higher stages of power, since neither ESS nor TT offer their 380+ whp packages for the MS45.

Hi when i go home i try to show you images of the installation.
You need:
1 the front 135i brake calipers(with 135icarriers and 135ipads). You can buy it on ebay the front and rears for 1000euros and sell rears if you not planning to install rears.
2 when you have the fronts you dont need anymore. If your car is a z4 3.0i prerestyling (i supose post can fit) you can use the oem 300mm rotor. At first i have this kit like this and goes perfect. Now i bought to a forum member the z4m rotors 345mm and need a little 5mm spacer. When i install the spacer i show you the result, but have to tell you this mod is fantastic and cheap with 300mm oem brakes.

Regards

Hi! Thanks man another time. Yes i want like you more power, i dont really need it but i cant understand why nobody can finally run with a stage 3 from ESS on a Zed with a custom tune.
One guy try this but dissapear during the process. Tell me something if you find one way to go.
