My Z4 p/s swimming pool

So my Z has been off the road since January and I finally got it on the road today and had a nice but smelly run home due to the mould in the car, I know my p/s roof drain is blocked and tomorrow I'm going to my mates to get it up on the ramp and unblock it but I noticed also at the car wash today that water was trickling in through the bottom of the p/s Door as well so I think I also have the membrane issue I've read about.

The boys did a great job of getting rid of the mould and sooking up the water with their wet vac. I will update with the progress...






 
yeah I got a bit too f a shock when he put the seat forward and pointed it out to me
 
It's just the p/s as well. The d/s is dry as the nuns eh... you know
 
So.. Some progress tonight. A change of plans meant I could get it up on the ramp tonight. So both roof drains unblocked and water running through them. Then we hot the door card off and by the looks of things somebody has been in before,








So where you see my finger we sealed that up with some rubber sealant stuff and tomorrow I will try spraying some water over door and see if it's cured.

Next step is a dehumidifier I think.
 
Yea...that area where your finger is jabbed under is where the water was leaking into my passenger footwell area too. I re-seated the membrane and taped off the tears in it with duct tape and it has held up fine till date :thumbsup:
 
So noticed something positive whilst it was up on the ramp it's got poly bushes on the front lower arms obviously done by the previous owner but the p/s rear arm trailing bush is hanging out( the one that goes into the chassis) no much wonder the back end didn't feel planted so that's the next mission to get it into the garage and get the bushes done. Supposed to be a pig of a job!! Then 4 wheel alignment. Granted my car has some issues but we're working through them and I've been loving driving with the roof down that last few days. :thumbsup:
