My Z4 Ownership experience / Garage

Its a shame but worth persevering with for certain, vert are great fun when the weather is right

Thanks, it's something very small, but I don't have the knowledge on it. As said before it might just be a split pipe leaking fluid, so hopefully it will be sorted soon. I know the garage had just spent £650 on it. So I said he needs to contact the specialist, and say the problem wasn't rectified.

It is not good but these things can be tricky to sort, they will get there I am certain

I presume this was Sytners on the A40 London Road in Loudwater? They are a bunch of sharks, or used to be.
What has your selling dealer said to this?

Actually no, this is TCS autos off the A40 - BMW specalist. Selling dealer has not responded, surprise, surprise.

It may at least be worth messaging RobbiZ4. He may be able to give a second opinion on diagnosis and point the way forward. He really does know his stuff when it comes to roofs.

2K seems a lot of money, maybe worth contacting ross at Hook as well for an opinion, he is on here as Bowser 134 and he is an ex BWM master tech

Indeed. Or google RBM, Hook, Hampshire.

Good evening all, just a bit of and update - picked up the car today and all seems to be 👍 good. Its been 7 months, alot of stress, and almost small claims court - but we seem to be there, the garage ended up giving the car to a BMW specialist and I picked it up this morning- on the journey up there this morning I really wondered what the outcome was going to be.

They ended up replacing the hydraulic strut and they carried out a leak test

I actually had a bit of a smile on my face this afternoon as I drove the car with the roof down and didn't really care about the cold weather. 8)

Hopefully many happy miles ahead..

That's great news - good to know you got there in the end.

Your E89 is in one of my favourite colour combos so now all you need to do is enjoy it. :driving:

Great news Shane, I'm pleased you got there in the end. It's taken 7 months, so hopefully now you can finally enjoy the car you (thought) you had bought.

Cheers, yeah it's been long - but hopefully I can now enjoy it.

Glad you’ve now got it sorted, it’s sounds like it’s been a very stressful few months but at least you can now enjoy driving it, hopefully the weather will stay dry and you can enjoy more miles having the roof down. :driving:
