My Z4 is sold, it’s been a pleasure

After 6 years of ownership it was time to move on to a more practical car, so my z4 heads off to a new home tomorrow.

Wasn’t for sale for long but in that time I had interest from all over the uk, was offered a 2005 Toyota Corolla with an expired MOT and a motorbike as a swap. Took a deposit from a drunk buyer who I later had to refund when he woke up sober, but it’s being picked up tomorrow buy a fellow z4 owner, he changing from a 2.0 to 3.0 after only 2 months

I wondered if I was mad buying an 11 year old 2 seater at the time but it’s been super reliable and still looks modern 18 years after it came out.

I’ll miss the 6 cylinders, the rear wheel, having the roof down, kids pointing thinking it’s an exotic, the sound, the reliably and the instant throttle response.

I won’t miss the £340 tax, useless headlights or ginger indicators though

My previous car was a Mini Cooper S which I loved, so needing a bigger car I’ve moved into a low mileage, highly spec’d countryman S, had a test drive and feels very similar, firm ride and sticks to the road like glue. Super excited :D

It sounds like you enjoyed your Z4 - I hope you don't miss is too much!

But if you need more space I suppose keeping it wouldn't have been an option.

Enjoy the Countryman S. :driving:

Don`t forget to keep checking in . Would like to see an update on the Countryman " S " as that is what my partner says she would like to have . All the best

I had the same problem. They are both great but feel so different. You have a good looking mini there.
