My Z4 days are numbered

I have had a fantastic 6 years of ownership covering over 80000 plus miles of :driving:

I've placed a deposit on a new 1 series as we are expecting our first child in April :D The plan was to keep the Z4 but I have decided to be sensible

Really going to miss this place and the forum runs, this is the longest I have ever owned a car and will most probable shed a tear when it goes

I have made some really good friends on here and hope to stay in touch when I'm Z less.

Going through my photobucket album here are some photos over my ownership:

Possibly my first or second forum run organised by Steve

I've agreed to PX the Z but will offer it up for sale soon.

Awesome - and having seen the euro shots i really understand the pain during a trip ike that you develop a real bond with the car - but the new car will be great and plenty of time for twoseaters in the future .

of course you stay on here thats the rules

Congratulations, shame the car has to go. So this 1 series is it a boring one?

in terms on engine yes 118i, but it should still be a nice family car. Estoril blue M Sport with the plus package with red leather and a few toys.

Thanks, Its was pretty amazing, would recommend it to anyone :D.

Clearly some great memories in those photos. 8) Enjoy your new Beemer and stick around the forum. It's good to just talk :D .

Lovely pics, I can see why it's so hard to let go...
But the new BMW doesn't sound too shabby, so enjoy what it has to offer.

Some great photos there. A new era in your life story begins.
Trust me the years pass so quickly you'll be back in a roadster before you know it.

Noooo

My early morning meet point buddy... Gone. Hope I see you before you sell it, but if not you'll still be welcome, of course :D

Congratulations though, everything is working out Jan

Jan, don't jump the gun. Hold on to it at least until spring. For the little it will cost you each year I wouldn't make a rash decision.

Keep it if you can- I did when it came time to get a bigger car (x5) and am so pleased I did every time I drive it or go on a forum run- it ios more than a car it is your hobby. If you sell it in 2 years time the money will be long gone but you won't know what you spent it on!

I must have been one of the few who bought a convertible when we had young children :)

No need to leave of course, soon there will only be a single Z in any Z run

80,000 miles, that's a lot of happy memories and congratulations to you both too

I bought one when Wee Bing was 8...

And the lone Z is likely to be me at this rate

I can't help but agree with this, when you have kid(s) you really need two cars - Monika will need a car all the time for her and small(er) Jan, and there'll be lots of times when she'll be doing 'baby' stuff and you'll need to go somewhere else. I don't mean that in a nasty, you'll not be involved with the baby, sort of way but rather mums with young kids tend to have lots of mum & baby get-togethers and, if you tag along, you'll probably be made welcome but soon find that you get a feeling that they'd rather it was just the girls

Don't worry, I'm not planning on #320 going anytime soon :driving:
