I bloody love this car but its still got an //M, theres no need IMO its great car in its own right

Yes, thats right. But the E46 Clubsport has an M badge, and its still has a M54 engine, so I think its right for this car. The M is also coloured as my car: Grey as the exterior, Black as my Interior and wheels, White as my interior stitching.

Really nice car, imo definatly one of the best z4's period, whether ///M or not imo..... very very nice and the CS badges not only look better, they actually work much better than the ///M badges you had before

I was actually happy with all of them. The 1999 GTV was the most speciall one, over 300hp at the frontwheels. Impossible to drive in the wet :driving:billygilly

Yes, the alfa is my day to day car, its a good car but i would not do anything special to it.
Thats a lot of hp from a front wheel motor.
tell me this, you got 300 bhp from your 2.2, what sort of hp would be possible from a 2.0 without screwing up the engine.
my car is mint and i would like a bit more power but do not want to change the car

Finally I got my M Instrument cluster working. I had to send it to a Zroadster member in Germany to get it fixed. They changed a chip/eprom and coded it to the car. Since I do not have the S54 engine, the rev lights from cold to warm do not work. Besides that everything works, included the oiltemp

Nice everyday car
Hard to say what you can do to get a decent boost of power. A chip will just give you like 10bhp and I do not know any company that sells supercharger/turbo kits to your engine. I really do not know of a cheap way to do this, sorry :|
Just looking at this close-up, although you had mentioned that it had been 'Sanded & Polished', the orange peel is still very much apparent in this shot
So, it begs the question, how come the orange peel hasn't been eradicated from the lacquer?

I see your point, but as my car mostly have paint from BMW(Original paintjob) its impossible to sand it down looking like a mirror. The original clearcoat is too thin
Had you seen my car before this job was done, you had seen a big difference
The picture does not give justice to the paint either :?Heres a picture from when I sanded the car down, as you can see half the hood is done
Just 3 month later I changed the hood to a M-hood, all the work for nothing :rofl:

Possibly, but when you use coarse wool on the polish machine to get the shine back again, its really harsh on the paint. So if you go trough the clearcoat its really bad
I used a paintdepth Measurement device, and it wasen`t that much clearcoat to work with :?

Actually, which paint depth gauge did you use? Has to be a good one to actually be able to measure the depth of the lacquer only!
I used this one Paint detective 8
This can measure the paint down to the steel. Usually the basecoat and colour is 50% of what you measure, the other 50% is clearcoating. This gives you an idea of the tichness of the paint and clearcoat layer. You cant do any good measurements on plastic
