My Z4 - CAT C - value?

Hi all,

I have my Z4 on ebay and since putting it live I have had no end of calls / emails asking me to sell it and how much do I want.

I really don't want to rip anyone off but I have no idea on what it is worth so I was wondering if someone could look at my listing and let me know what sort of price I should be saying?

Thanks all

How much is a non-Cat car with the same features/mileage - £5k?

A repaired Cat D would normally be about 60-70% of a non-Cat car - £3-3.5k?

A repaired Cat C would be about 50% of a non-Cat car - £2.5k?

Unrepaired Cat C probably 30-40% of a non-Cat car - £1.5-2k?

Even at the £1.5k starting point you'd be looking at a £1k-£2k bill to fix everything* so a Cat C car for £2.5k-£3.5k. Any more than that and you might as well go for a repaired Cat D or a non-Cat one.

*If the damage is only cosmetic (which I doubt looking at the damage to the wheels, as I think there's some suspension/steering arms to be replaced too) those repairs could possibly be done DIY by someone competent with the correct colour 2nd hand parts for £1000. Anything mechanical or underlying could easily add another £1000 to the bill and then you'd have a car that would still be a Cat C.

Thank's five, great answer to my Q mate. I'm not massively that fussed on what I get for it as I have already brought another Z'd, I just don't want to rip anyone off by asking for a silly price.

must be worth £1500 id say about a grand to do the bodywork with second hand rear wing the door and front wing look easily repairable they all just bolt on so no big labour charges. that even leaves the buyer a bit to play with for suspension components and a re align(if needed )

This has been written off though paddy. Your company should be able to tell you if you can buy yours back or not surely.

They wont tell me either way- they say it varies case to case depending on market values and who they use as a broker.

If I had a z4 2.0i, I'd use this engine, gearbox propshaft and rear axle to upgrade my car...
