It's a Vauxhall Astra Sports hatch. Can't tell the exact derivative as it's one of those manufacturers who have a million specials and different badge designations. I'm sure udeo will enlighten

FYI Vauxhall is the UK badging of what in Europe would be Opel a division of GM. These seem so much bette these days than Vauxhalls of just a few years ago.

its an astra vxr 2.0 litre turbo. Udeo how does it compare head to head against ur 3 litre zed my previous car was a astra vxr totally different driving driving experience to the zed but lots of fun i just never had them head to head .

You can only drag race Vauxhall Astra. It won't turn :)))) There is no comparison to BMW.

the astra that clarkson tested was a press SRI with a vxr engine... the vxr is marginally quicker than my 3.0 in a straight line in reality but on paper its not supposed to be. you have to bear in mind it costs less than half the price brand new, and the bmw is a dedicated sports car and the astra is.... well, an astra!

One question though. Is the Auto-Pilot a new feature on the Z4 and VXR? :P

Really like those Astras especially in that colour but i did own a Calibra before the Z was a great car but the Z is in another league

ps. Is the Astra really quicker in a straight-line, I guess there's so little in it, it's down to the driver and traction off the line.

As Udeo doesn't seem to be around - the exif data shows the camera to be a Canon EOS 20D...don't know about the lens though...
