My YouTube Channel and my book

 Lancs.
Hi folks,

I hope you and your loved ones are surviving these difficult times.

I have recently launched my own YouTube channel where you will find a link to my book ‘No Path to Enlightenment’.

This is a philosophical investigation into the nature of the Self, posing the perennial question: ‘Who am I?’

Although my channel and book have little to do with Z4s or cars in general, there is a strong emphasis on living in the present moment - I don’t know about you, but driving a special car down a sweeping country lane always focuses my attention back to the present moment. Isn’t that why we pursue our passions – to release us, even if just for a short time, from the pressures of our lives and find momentary peace and fulfilment? My book aims to find that peace and fulfilment, not just in those special moments, but in the trenches of our daily lives.

My hope is that the book I started writing back in 2012 and finished in 2020 together with my YouTube channel (where I read condensed extracts from it), may help people find peace in their day-to-day lives, especially now in these challenging times.

I asked the boss for his permission before posting this thread and he has cleared it.

Wishing you health, peace and happiness

Marlon (aka Colin)

Good to hear from you Colin. Hope things are well up in the NW too. Good luck with your new ventures. :)

Hi Colin, it's good to hear from you and I hope your are still enjoying your Porker.

Good luck with your new venture too!

Hello Collin, good to hear from you mate. We were only asking about you a little while back.
Still got the Beetle

Thanks for the good wishes fellas :)
Yes still got the 'Porsche' firebobby  although it was touch and go last summer as I faced redundancy, in fact I came within a cats whisker of having to sell it. In the end I struck a deal with UCLan and dropped down to 2 days with a small payoff (they called it partial voluntary redundancy) the other 3 days I focused on my counselling/mentoring practice and it took off! - I'm working exclusively online, which is working really well and have a waiting list for private clients.
Hope you are all doing well .
Cheers,
Marlon

10/10 for marketing strategy  "Where else can I pedal this stuff?"

I know who I am, thanks, so I'll pass
If you were not interested, why bother commenting?
Marlon was a huge contributor on here and has permission from the forum owner to post this.
You have also used the wrong "peddle"

Sometimes you have all the social awareness and sensitivity of a Dalek with the power off! :tumbleweed:

Yep I can see that. I apologise to Mr Brando and the forum. My comments were (admittedly stupidly) "tongue in cheek". I forget that my sometimes strange sense of humour doesn't translate via a keyboard.
It is not my intention to offend anyone.

Easily done, and I agree, the typed word can really be taken out of context.

In the words of Oscar Wilde, “There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.”
Its all good - thanks to everyone who has posted comments - truly :)

& for those that haven't seen Colin for a while
