Great shot - made me feel guilty that I have never lifted the bonnet on my E89 after 6 months of ownership in fact I've never seen the engine - is this enough to get me banned from this forum? In my defence I have fitted a stubby.

You never know. There may be a family of squirrels living in the warmth of the engine.
