My Space Grey E86

With winter on the way i thought id get a few up to date pics taken having not put any up for a long time.
Ive owned the car for nearly 5 years now and still love it, just touching 50k miles and has been a dream to own.

Ive still got a few bits i want to do, im looking to tidy up the capliers in the next few weeks once my broken hand is not so broken.

The distance i drive to work could really increase next year so i have thought about selling the Z'd after its MOT in March and buying something cheap, economical i can beat down the motorway. I may replace it with something either a bit more raw like an Exige for the weekends, the other option would be to keep it and spend some money on it, quaif diff, suspension etc but we shall see. It will be hard to let go of i think.

Some pics....

Hi Mark, thats a a gorgeous example! Same white looking SE seats as mine! A pair of M - Sport items would finish it off a treat 8)

Can you not keep this and get a cheap shitter for the commute? Thats what i do, got an old e46 coupe 2.0 diesel, perfect daily!

Thanks Jamie. Occasionally i look for a mint set of sports seats, just can never find a decent electric/heated set. The pearl grey is not too bad to look after, the autoglym cleaners seem to work best.

Yea that's one of the options, keep it a bit longer but not use it for work, its 100 miles a day for 4 days so dont really want to use the Z'd.

Oh yeah I can imagine they're rare epspecially in a rare colour like ours 😊

I need to clean mine properly I got them out of a damaged car last week so still a bit of ingrained dirt.

If you get a commuter then you'll appreciate your zed even more

My partner has a E90 320d, its slow but she treats it like a skip so i always feel better getting into mine

Ive had a 1 series before so something tidy like that would be ideal.

That looks really tidy. There was an early 1 series hatch for sale not so long ago with little mileage, £2k, should have bought it,

indeed! Theyre cracking little motors, especially the pre-DPF ones

Your car looks great OP - I love the wheels.

I'm also a fan of Pearl Grey leather - I'm on my 2nd!

I'd echo what Jamie_z4 said. Keep the Z4 and buy a daily!

Having my non-sensible head on I bought a 325ti Compact for daily duties, but I do like a straight 6. Cost me £2K nearly 3 years ago!

I must be weird then. I bought an E86 to take the load off my E46.

Well don't leave us hanging there - let us have a photo of your E46!

My E46 Touring. 2000 328iA, LHD bought in Holland. Has almost every extra available (except anthracite headlining and rear airbags). I love it. It doesn't excel at anything except for being an all-round damn good car, it's my Millenium Falcon.

Also my trackday E46 330Ci. Well, the lefthand side is mine. Poor quality photo taken on the journey home after buying it. It is currently undergoing an extended therapy to get it track ready....

Lovely looking cars by the way!

I'm looking forward to the day when the E46 gets the wider recognition of how great a car it is. The E30 has it, the E46 will get it soon

I agree entirely - but being selfish I hope it doesn't!

Not to be arguementative but you sure it’s Space grey?? Looks a lot like my silver grey m. I’d check the paint code mate.
