They look really great, are they any good at stopping the car? feel, fade, cold application etc? :)

No idea at mo buddy
Tuesday is rear lines on and bleed day

Ds2500 pads are expensive trust me
But from cold to silly hot there awesome
So that part I know the feel, power and brake pedal I'll find out soon enough
Tbh if the same as old im.haopy hahah
As look and way fill out my wheels is worth it alone hahha
I'll buy an anchor if all else fails

I've reckon they will be a big improvement, it's a generalisation but I think brake feel and confidence inspiring 'firmness' is a bit lacking on BMW's of this era. I'm not sure what it is because the spec's are decent on paper but they tend to feel a bit 'soft'?
I drove a new mid range Vauxhall Astra Sri jobby the other day and the brakes were firm and eye-popping by comparison to BMW's I've driven. Good luck for Tuesday

When I read the title of this post I was a bit apprehensive about clicking as I thought you were going to be comparing notes with Mike Ducklakeview's new SnapOn gear!

But the sexy brake calipers look...pretty smexy

Looks amazing Marc, a great mod, be sure to let us know how they perform. I wish bmw had offered something like this for our zeds, as they did with other bmws.
I know you said you'll leave it alone now but you've said that before! I've heard murmurings of a supercharger! :poke:

Shhhhhhh;) hahahha

Budget my friend budget
Imagine if bmw then the M guys had the cars to do their magic and had to factor in price and overall cost to include brembos all round
Something else where would have been sacrificed

Personally I think they should have been an optional upgrade
N ta buddy

That they are buddy :)
Not too difficult but headache all the same to get all bits
Brackets lines sensor and modded different pads as normal ones 5mm too short to sweep disc

And pics a plenty once all sorted buddy
And thank you:)

Looking good mate! 8)

Well worth the effort! What's going on with your wheel bolts though? :o :poke:

That looks a fantastic finish and a really unusual colour.
Just one question though, why were the bolts and stuff not removed before painting?

Many kind thanks:)

All bolts out buddy bar the ones for the pad stays
I asked for them to be sprayed, as they could run risk of tainting/ corroding and that would ruin the look

Plus they're job is simply to locate pad shoulders
Main 4 are 2 on top to split from bracket and 2 at rear for going through bracket on to hub lugs:)

They look insane! Nice to see brembo logos on actual brembos for once too.

You remembered to swop the rear caliper bridge pipes/bleed valves round, right? Ok, just checking... :P

but destroy the OEM look intended. 8)

In many aspects thats part of its purpose I think
I like the colour. Although I wouldnt have painted the guide pins on the front calipers.
But you can always unscrew those and put in new ones (~£5/set at the dealer)
(use an xacto knife to cut the paint around to prevent paint tearing off when unscrewing)

Hahah you are very welcome to your oem look of the brakes buddy
The car yes
But no to brakes as look tiny through wheels

Haha hear you met Stu today;)

I had them painted and then remembered!
But size of pistons it's not an issue as only 2mm in it
Otherwise I'd have taken off to sort;)

And many thanks buddy
Not going for the plastic over brembo ebay specials;)

That's the point exactly buddy it's to pop and make the car :)
As we all know the tiny oem ones ;)
And yes buddy I could but as the have no real use as have to take caliper off to change pads and push them into spring clips it's no biggy
But if change mind I'll do that idea ta buddy
Bugger got me looking at that now!!
New pins may tie them in well with wheels !
But that means pads out etc

Ps old oem calipers on same wheels to show comparison

The one part of the car I'd love to change is the front lights which look dated. The rest of the car looks awesome :D

Haha all good buddy :)
Don't think other types of lights would make the car look better without looking too new tbh
