My Scotland trip - some videos added . . .

Sorry to hear of your weather woes OP. :(

I just hope you do get some decent driving weather, as the roads are great.

I'd definitely consider driving around the weather :) raintoday.co.uk will give you a good idea of where's gona be hit with what, it looks clear today - i'd be off to Applecross asap :p

If stuck for something to do because of bad weather, it is touristy but surprisingly well decked out and quite interesting to tour - Eilean Donan Castle, just right off the skye bridge (reasonable quality cafe there too). Equally the ferry over to Mallaig (if its rough, youll want good sea legs), and grab some fish an chips.

There is always:
Scrabble, Monopoly, Risk, Checkers...
Or the series DVD of Breaking Bad ...

Remember it can always get worse ...

Great photos OP.

Glad the weather finally cleared for you - just a shame it took so long!

The roads really are something else aren't they? When I went I still had my 123d, but it wasn't difficult to make "reasonable" progress.

Tis indeed a fine place to drive and made to look even better with the addition of your fine Red Zed.

The next time I go to Scottishland I’m going to play golf and drink the water of life, and it will rain. It always rains in Scotland, Marlon, as you live there I thought you would know that

While wandering around near Kilmacolm, my late wife said “the cows are so clean here, why?”
I answered “because they get washed twice a day ... when it rains”

Nice pics

Made up for you to have got some miles in.All three of you looking good there.
The roads are great, and now you are addicted

The last driving day today - travelled south, top down all day and even saw some sun :)

The last 2 days driving have been a pure joy - very few cars around this time of year and great driving roads with twisties and foot down open roads - not to mention the stunning scenery, I'll be back :driving:

Great pics there Collin, Skye is a magical place  . Enjoy the roads back down to Glasgow, tomorrow. Loch Lomond road is fantastic about 05:30 am.

Some great photographs. Glad you managed a few days of good weather. We took our caravan up to the West Coast a couple of years ago in August. It rained all the way up and for the whole two weeks except for one day. We sat out in the sun on that day and were eaten alive. Just to rub salt into the wound it rained all the way back. So I guess you got off lightly really. I have never been able to persuade ‘She Who Must Be Obeyed’ to go back since then.

I can here the voices calling me back up there after looking at your pic Marlon, it is a fabulous part of the world, next time try a little further up the west coast as well, round by Applecross, Gairloch etc and avoid September/October :)
