My RPI GT Exhaust thread (or essay more appropriately)

I'd like to add something to this thread. I heard my car being driven away for the first time a couple of days ago. Me and a mate went to a quiet straight road and i gave the car to him to make a couple of passes at speed while i shot video.

Oh my God! It sounds absolutely mental! :heat: Not at all the raspy, just bass sound you would expect. It has lovely tone for such a straight through system. None of it audible on the video though.. No videos of the RPI, not even Beedub's come close to how insane this thing sounds. :driving:

Is Cyprus big enough to get to 8k RPM without driving in the sea?

If you can't here the straight six anymore I have to ask what is the point?

This.

Also looks tacky with the writing and the differnt sized pipes are...odd... It's not for me, nor is the noise. BUT the quality looks great!

It really is. Only downside is the drone but trying some isolation

i have to echo your feelings, the drone on the motorway is actually just annoying. i will never get rid of the system because i just think its fab but my god do i love getting back in my tdci fiesta after a long drive..... lol.

its gotten even louder after my supercharger.

the motorway drone is rediculous but when i have the roof down (90% of the time) i have no drone issues with this exhaust but my god, with the roof up the sound is trapped and its crazy, you get those sonic vibration that vibrate you butt cheaks!! i love the look and the sounds but hell no could i put this on my daily driver, perfect for a weekend thing, after 1000miles they have gone this lovely stainless steel burn't look, they really do look the business.

I've got more than 3k on them now and the car is my daily driver. It's tolerable during daily driving and the police generally give me no trouble although i have had 2-3 warnings so far. "Sorry officer, they all do that... "

I passed twice the cops they looked at me like they wanted to have xxx with me!!! But they didnt stop me. Lucky i
I'm gonna clean the exhaust so that it looks shiny all the time :)
I got a Roadster to and with the top down it is ok at moments but with the top up.. kmldsgnaeioreugnvaldifjvnaéidfgnaérfgnafé
HELLO DDD DDD RR RRR OOOOO OO NNN N EEEEE

YEP PERFECT :) we have an advantage with the roof down the sound: WEEEEEEEE GET IT ALLLLLLL.
and in your car it makes RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR and then WWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHH

                :driving:

So, do you get less drone now??

Have you guys tried sound isolation in the trunk like dynamat? Think that will help?

It drones a bit less but it's still not what you'd call a comfortable cruiser at a certain RPM range. I can always drop a gear and cruise in 5th. That makes the drone go away basically.

I think the worst thing is when u got a lot of cars in front of you and you have no other choice then to follow them and your on the full drone rpm :D :headbang: :headbang:
