Finally decided to sort out my foggy fogs:

Drilled three holes in the underside of the lens:

After a couple of weeks:

Used a hair dryer on the lens and through the holes to clear the last bits of condensation - thanks for the tip patriot66

Lets see if they stay like that :)

Nice job, need to sort mine now

I did that to my old 3.0si & they slowly dried out over a few weeks, sadly the damage had been done and I’m sure they had barnacles growing inside them!

Do the holes have to be drilled in the location as per above or could they be put elsewhere? Just thinking about a less conspicuous place?

Hi, you don’t want them drilled on the front face for obvious reasons, the top would look terrible so that just leaves the soft underbelly really :?

tbh they are only conspicuous if you get down on your knees and have a nosey from a foot away :D

Thanks, could you not put them at the top? i.e. remove the fog and drill at the top and put them back? I doubt you would see the holes that way?

haha...when you know something is there that is all you can do sometimes - I see your point, though!

I'd be worried about them becoming mini swimming pools very quickly if the holes were on the top. I'd imagine water would ingress very quickly with no easy route back out.

I can live with the holes, those close up shots highlight them but standing in front of the car and you'd never notice them whereas the fogged-up lenses looked a sight.

Interesting! I guess if you hold a jet wash or hose in-between the bumper and foglight, then you may get water inside. I suppose one will need to try and see. I reckon you could get water in from the bottom, if the user aims a jet wash or hose in the wrong direction? As noted, it's far better to drill than having fogged up fog lights

What size holes did you drill?

Yes, one for my "to-do" list as well - shame really as the fogs were clear when I bought it. :(

Where does the water get in? Just wondering if there is anything preventative that could be done before they fog up and you need to drill?
