We need a poll, Marlon to rev the conkers out of his car-or not? :P
Rob

Conker revving is an absolute minimum requirement when a new exhaust is fitted..get your s**t together Colin :poke: :poke:

Ok, so as requested:

What's the Darth Vader breathing sound at the drop of the revs? :?

This has been mentioned before on Mike's thread:

I'm not getting that sound from mine, but mines only a 2.5i. Sounds like air being drawn back into the box. Strange sound. Sounds nice otherwise. Good job

Cheers Rob - no drone. Because I don't rev the conkers off it I wanted to hear it at lower revs which is exactly what Mike has done for me :)

Sounds great Marlon an ideal daily solution :)

Cheers Mate, was just out in it before - it always had the sports car looks and now it sounds like one :) :driving:

No drone is the key with these things, I fitted a "quicksilver" exhaust to my Elise & after just one motorway journey Mrs Smartbear was saying she had a migraine and now hated the car & I just wanted to kill it with fire :x

Passed its MOT :D
Also had oil changed - used Millers as recommended by Mr Wilks.

Update on the DLV mod:
I'm loving the extra sound Mike has released - plus the fact that this new modification has been done to my original back box. No need to rev the conkers off it now, its loud with minimum effort when you want it but I can still potter about without everyone turning around. At 80 on the motorway it is slightly louder but still no drone. Its made the driving experience even better :driving:

I was mightily impressed with the backboxes on Saturdays Bowland run , no idea what it cost but the tone , rasp , burble was very mature & certainly a mod i would look to have done with my next Si

Interesting to here what you guys thought of it. I heard Mike's car in person a few weeks back statically and it did sound good, but I have to admit it did worry me what it would be like on the road. I'm not into noise for noise's sake, I'm the guy who actually puts back in the sound generator foams, both of them!

Its a different kinda sound MACK. I lasted a couple of weeks with the foam out of my sound generator before doing the same as you and putting it back - I found it too much, sort of a high pitched metallic scream isn't it.

EDIT: was it after his secondary Cat delete - cos that made it louder still!
