My QUAD exhaust!!!!!! BOOM :)

Looks great! Now people will think you have a proper engine with them purposeful looking exhausts! :D

You can see that the pre facelight lights have left bumper gaps where the facelift lights fit..

Are they plug and play Johnny ?

Did they fit some sort of amplifier in the exhaust system for you ? Just thinking that spreading the dainty puff from those 4 cylinders across four exhausts instead of one might result in the first ever silent quad set up :? :P

Bing, I'm going to have to get Jonnys back on this one and tell you to pull your big 3.0i head out of your own butt. The 2.0i 4 cylinder engine makes a much more manly sounding noise when the exhaust is tinkered with than any other Z4 (Excluding the M's).

Steady on, it was just some cheeky banter

And it's a 3.0Si head, slightly tighter fit :P

Arguably the M exhaust note is a bit pants - similar 3.x l flat six engines in porsches make much nicer noises through their respective pipes.

I think the 3.0 has a slightly deeper tone.

I would agree with this the 3.2 is quite tinny & the 3.0 hits the spot nicely, I do get frustrated with bmw's standard set up for exhausts the V8 in my M3 sounds nothing like a V8! :headbang:

The other halfs 4 pot sounds better out of the standard sports exhaust than my M3 ever will & that shouldn't be the case imo.

BMW try their hardest to remove exhaust note from all their cars more so on the M's, I think they prefer their cars to produce pure induction noise.

Stick a straight through exhaust on any M and you will never be able to go back to standard

You are spot on & at first I loved the induction noise on the M3 but then you get used to it & want some fireworks from the exhaust too...I need to find a welder & get shut of the cats & get a straight pipe as you say!

I've heard there's quite a bit of drone with the straight through though - i'm still in the neverending turmoil as to what to do with my spare exhausts. Hoping someone with some exhaust mod may inspire me at the kent meet.

Jonny what's yours sound like now, much of a change?
