My poor Z4 :(

From looking at the rear wing chipsaway should be able to fix that with a smart repair.Rear wing removal can be difficult due to seized bolts so a repair is easier. The bonnet I think is aluminium, could be wrong, but they seem to go for high prices. The idea of getting a second hand one is good but you may have to wait to get a good one. If you do find one don't get it shipped as once I got one for my SLK and it was damaged in transit and was rendered useless and I lost my money. Regarding painting yes silver is difficult to match. Sometimes they also paint the top of the wings to blend it in but I am not a fan of this. If you go for a second hand bonnet just be patient for one to come along

I've got a dashcam with parking mode now which might have put them off a bit (although based on the damage I wouldn't be surprised if they would have smashed the window and taken it!). Hope you get it sorted - would be gutted if that happened to me so I really feel for you.

thanks for the further responses guys

Stuart, its a possibility - will see in the next few months :)

Well i got some 1200 grit wet & dry on the key marks & with a lot of persuasion they have improved circa 60% - the bonnet dent popped out & the scuffs arent TOOO bad now. the avarge person would probably leave it, however with it being such a good / mint example almost i'm going to get it painted in a few months when the weather warms up!

for now the mrs has got her heart set on a cockapoo puppy so any car related purchases are on the back burner for a while!

Oh and Clarker - i have a dash cam in my other car (3 series) but never bothered in the Z4 as i use it so little! Its literally the only time its been parked anywhere other than my driveway or the secure car park at work  sods law i think!

Claim on insurance and get it sprayed up properly? I hate claiming but I think it's probably worth it in this case.
Gutted to say the least. I'm sure you will have it good as New before you know it but I'd avoid insurance as they may write it off for this- crazy but possible!
