I always worry in these cases that the "approved " bodyshops charge so much for new parts and labour that your car get written off through no fault of your own.

Are those surface scratches on the bonnet or are they deeper than that?

I'm surprised being only a 2.0L with nearly 95k on the clock it wasn't a write off.

They're quite deep gouges on the bonnet.

So it was collected for repair yesterday. Upon further inspection it's now a total loss :thumbsdown:

I half expected it, but am gutted.
